CCB News Issue 15

Happy Friday and Happy Head Rock Harbor Day! Yes! The next book in the HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY series dropped this morning! BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #4) is now available in ebook and paperbook formats on Amazon or wherever books are sold! If you pre-ordered your ebook copy, it should be in your electronic reading device right this moment. If you were waiting to order a paperback copy, you can do so right away. Seriously, I have nothing all that important to say–go buy your paperback!

Since it’s a book release day–and I’ve been HORRIBLE about updating CCB News–and I’m not great at posting on social media about stuff y’all actually care about, I thought it best if I fill you all in on some things. Of course, the obvious first and most important thing was to remind you all that BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #4) dropped. But now that it’s out of the way, let’s get into some more CCB News–some Head Rock Harbor related, and some not…

If you’re wondering what’s next for the HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY series – you’ll be happy to know that A MURDER IS STAGED (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #5) is well underway from basic manuscript to a full fledged book. I can’t really share a lot right now, but if you read the ending to BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN…you can probably figure out where we’re headed in book five.

BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN is a “move the series forward” book, meaning that it focuses more and Jackson and Jeremy and the mystery is just for funsies. However, book five will drop Jackson and Jeremy into their potentially most dangerous mystery so far! I can’t wait to share book five with you all. In the meantime…

The audiobook for BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #4) is currently in production! I’ve been informed by the powers that be that Nick Trengove is returning, he’ll be working hard on the audiobook, and we’ll have it to you as quickly as we can! Make sure to watch this space and all of my socials for updates about the audiobook’s progress!

Speaking of the fifth book in the series – if you haven’t visited the Head Rock Harbor page here on the website – here is the working cover for A MURDER IS STAGED. Now, it might change before the book is released, but only time will tell. However, I thought you’d all enjoy a peek at the “vibes.”

Lastly, in regards to the HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY series – as you can tell from the HRH page, I have 8 books planned for the series. For those who have been asking, I am 100% committed to all 8 books. Beyond that…we shall see. If I have more stories for Jackson, Jeremy, Rattlesnatches, and the rest, there may be more than 8 books in the series. Only time will tell! However, you can rest assured that all 8 books listed on the site will be released in the future!

In addition to working on the HRH Mystery series, the near future will have me working on outlining a new Silas Erie Paranormal Cozy story! If you haven’t checked out GHOST IN THE CUPBOARD (SILAS ERIE PARARNOMRAL COZY #1), you should go check it out now. It was a Top Release during its opening weekend on Amazon! While I always planned to continue the series, I don’t have book two fully outlined and drafted, so I’ll be working on that in the near future.

Additionally, I’m working on finishing a book titled THE LAST OF THE LIGHTNING BUGS. It’s a standalone novel about the summer 3 friends spend together before one’s stepfather is murdered. Told from twenty years in the future and flashbacks, I think a lot of my longtime readers will really enjoy this one!

I haven’t had much time for reading or listening to audiobooks lately, so I can’t give my recommendations as I normally do. However, I have seen a lot of movies, and here are a few that I enjoyed:

I’m not a huge horror movie fan – that’s more my husband’s thing – but I do love zombies and I love the SCREAM movies. So, if you’re looking for some zombie fun, COLD STORAGE and THIS IS NOT A TEST are some newer movies in the zombie genre. Both were fun and entertaining. And the latest in the series, SCREAM 7, had Sidney Prescott returning…so what’s to hate? I think all are available on Amazon Prime, but may be available on other streamers as well.

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited.
