CCB News Issue 12

Greetings, my fellow word enthusiasts! We’re well into summer and, be honest, who else is already tired of the heat? I’ve come to realize that one of the greatest things about being a writer is that it is an indoor job. Unless, of course, you’re a freak who enjoys taking your device outside and typing in the sweltering heat. Enough about the climate–cool thoughts, cool thoughts.

Welcome to another edition of Chase Connor Books News! Today I have some things to share about the next 3 books I have lined up for you, my readers. I have some book recommendations, updates about website features, and more! The last quarter of 2025 and the beginning of 2026 are going to be busy for me and my readers. I promise!

Without further ado…let’s do this!

BANG BANG HE SHOT HER DOWN (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #4) is the next book you’ll be getting from me, later in 2025! Is everyone excited to experience the furthur adventures of amateur sleuth and bookstore owner, Jackson Harper? Well, he’s off on a long weekend road trip with Jeremy to meet a drag queen at the request of an injured friend. As usual, where Jackson goes, trouble follows–and it isn’t long before there’s a mystery to solve! Official blurb can be seen by clicking on the above link or the book cover!

GHOST IN THE CUPBOARD (SILAS ERIE PARANORMAL COZY #1) will be the book released after “BANG BANG.” In order to manage his stress, Silas Erie, regionally famous medium and touch psychic, does his best to avoid unfamiliar ghosts unless he’s working. However, when he begins to be haunted by a particularly pesky ghost, he’s forced to solve a mystery for free–unless he wants to be haunted forever. Before he knows it, the son of his most adoring supporter is mad at him, the local homeless population is in an uproar, and his rundown (though quaint) hometown of Sage Grove is in danger of being…gentrified. Official blurb and webpage coming soon!

THE LAST OF THE LIGHTNING BUGS is the third release I have lined up for you and will come in 2026! A standalone novel for lovers of POSSIBLY TEXAS and A SURPLUS OF LIGHT, more to come on this book soon!

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription, you can read any of my books for no additional cost! All I ask is that you leave a review like you would with a book you purchased and read. Throw ya’ boy a bone!

New Reader Corner

It has been brought to my attention that a lot of people who have recently picked up one of my books for the first time might not be aware that I have tons more out there for you to read! If you loved (or even liked) the first book of mine you picked up–whichever one it was–I have a catalog of more from which to choose. First and foremost, you can find the complete list of my books (and links) here:

They’re even catagorized by genre! However, I’d also like to put one of my books in the spotlight in today’s newsletter. In case you haven’t heard of my book POSSIBLY TEXAS, now is a great time to give it a try! My first magical realism novel, the story follows 16-year-old Jordan after his mother drops him off at the head of Two-Mile-Trail, intending for him to walk into Possibly, Texas and go live with his stepfather–whom he hasn’t seen in years. Immediately, Jordan is struck by the quirky town, its quirkier residents, and the feeling that Possibly, Texas is the weirdest place he’s ever been–and he’s been everywhere! However, it’s also quite possibly the best place to be! It’s available in ebook, paperback, and hardback formats, and you can even read it on Kindle Unlimited! Check it out!

SLEEPING CHILDREN by Anthony Passeron – Weaving the tale of a secret family tragedy with the first two decades of the AIDS crisis, Anthony Passeron ripped my heart out with this historical fiction novel. While dry and factual at times, somehow, listening to it during Pride month hit a place in me that resonated deeply. Highly recommend to all!

THIS IS NOT A VAMPIRE STORY by Simon Doyle – A novel with chapters that alternate between the present and past, I can’t describe how much I loved this M/M romance. Victor is a vampire–and he’s returned to society decades after leaving the love of his life behind–around the time he became a vampire. Now an old man, Victor’s long-lost love helps him to heal his past and old wounds. A sweeping, beautiful novel set in Ireland, I can’t recommend this enough!

Until next time, make sure you’re following me everywhere you can for all the latest Chase Connor Books news and nonsense!
