We’re almost exactly two weeks out from PRIDE AND PUNCTURE (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #3) – coming February 7th, 2025 – so I felt this issue of Chase Connor News should be all (mostly) things Head Rock Harbor! We’ve managed to get through most of the first month of 2025, and I know some of us are really white-knuckling it right now. So, what could make us all feel a little bit more sane, and a little bit more cozy, than visiting the town of Head Rock Harbor and Head Rock Harbor Books?
Don’t worry, I’ve thrown in a few other Chase Connor Books tidbits in this newsletter if you’re not a devotee of the town of Head Rock Harbor. Either way, hopefully you find something to enjoy in this edition!

A lot of Head Rock Harbor devotees have asked me about Head Rock Harbor Books – I mean, who doesn’t love a bookstore, amirite? However, many of you seem to want to understand the layout of the store and Jackson’s apartment better. Since I’m no artist, yet I wanted to give you something more interesting than a simple floor map, I got on the SIMS and created the bookstore for you! Check it out:
Speaking of Head Rock Harbor Books, I was fortunate to stop by to check out the new coffee bar being installed. Sawyer Robison did all the building and construction, but Jackson and the new barista, Angel Gomez, did everything else. The best part is the new Head Rock Harbor Books branded mugs! I’m not sure which one to get, they’re all so fun! And check it out – they’re all right/left mugs so even yours truly and Jackson Harper (who’s also a lefty) can enjoy them equally.

You’re probably all wondering what I’ll be up to next after this release. Well, we’ll be working on getting the audiobook available for the readers who prefer audio. I’ll be getting the fourth book ready (more to come on that), and I’ll be diving back into “fixing” my urban paranormal series I’ve been wanting to launch for YEARS. Anyone remember hearing the name “Thatcher Graves”…?
Unfortunately, I haven’t read a lot of books lately. Due to releasing TALK TO ME in December and PRIDE AND PUNCTURE coming in two weeks, family commitments, and life being what it is, free time is spent on things besides reading. However, I’ll have more book recommendations the next time we meet in CCB News! In the meantime, make sure to pick up an indie, give it a read/listen, and leave a review! Spread the word about indie authors – and if they’re LGBTQIA and/or BIPOC, even better!
