CCB News Issue 7

Welcome to 2025 and another issue of Chase Connor Books News, everyone! I hope the holidays were good for everyone and Santa brought lots of goodies to all those who worship him. I know that my Christmas and New Year were well spent with my family, friends, lots of food, a bit of drink, and happy, fuzzy feelings. In fact, it was so Hallmark-esque that I had to keep myself from puking in my mouth a little bit. Of course, that’s what the holidays are all about!

December saw the release of my latest New Adult novel, TALK TO ME–go check that out if you haven’t already. Other than that, MURDER IN THE ROUGH (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #2) was released in April, and my first ever short horror story, DADDY, was released for free here on Chase Connor Books. For me, 2024 was a bit of a slow year as far as releases go. However, I’m incredibly proud of what I managed to publish, and I hope you all enjoyed spending time between the pages with me.

This year–in fact, in less than a month–I’ll be dropping PRIDE AND PUNCTURE (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #3). I promised myself that once the third book in the series dropped, I’d get back to working on my urban paranormal book that I plan to make a series. However, we’ll see where things take me this year. It would be absolutely exciting if the fourth HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY book came out in 2024…wouldn’t it??

Regardless of what the world brings us this year, let’s all stick together. Read some books. Share the good times. Support each other through the bad, celebrate victories, and always remember the power and joy of the written word.

It only seems fitting that we start this year off with some news from Head Rock Harbor…

Jackson Harper has plenty on his plate – the first annual Pride Weekend is coming to Head Rock Harbor! You’ll all get to read about it on February 7th, 2025! In the meantime, he’s been working with his new employee, Angel Gomez (you can meet him on the Head Rock Harbor “Wiki” page), who will be the barista at Head Rock Harbor Books Coffee Bar, to design the perfect branded mugs. They’re pretty sure which one is their favorite, but feel free to throw in your opinion:

They’re both partial to the first design, but we’ll see what the future brings.

Of course, there are bigger issues to worry about. Dead bodies are popping up in Head Rock Harbor (again), and Mayor Linda Wagner and Chief Marvin Bucksworth are refusing to consider cancelling Pride. Jackson simply wants to get through the whole ordeal, stop the murders, and figure out his romantic life.

Is that too much for a guy to ask for??

Be ready on February 7th when PRIDE AND PUNCTURE (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #3) drops to read about how it all unfurls. If you haven’t already, be sure to reserve your copy here. Or you can click the pretty little picture below.

If you haven’t picked up your copy yet – or read it on Kindle Unlimited – my latest New Adult novel, TALK TO ME, is now available! Go check it out!

With the holidays I haven’t had a lot of time to read, unfortunately. Between family, food, friends, and frivolity, reading has taken a backseat to most other activities–though the new year is bringing me back to reading! However, I managed to complete a few audiobooks while doing household chores. Below are three that I thoroughly enjoyed and gave at least 4 stars to on Goodreads!

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription, you can read any of my books for no additional cost! All I ask is that you leave a review like you would with a book you purchased and read. Throw ya’ boy a bone!

Until next time, make sure you’re following me everywhere you can for all the latest Chase Connor Books news and nonsense!
