CCB News Issue 5

As it’s dangerous for me to talk/write too much lately (I have a fat mouth), I will try to focus solely on what is coming with Chase Connor Books in the near and distant future. If you follow me on social media, you will know that I am not incredibly pleased with things right now…but the show must go on, even as we resist! So, let’s move forward…

The first thing I want to mention is that I’m going to be phasing Twitter out of my social media. I’ll still be posting book promo, but you won’t see any more personal posts, good morning posts, funny thoughts…really anything except book promo. If you like following me on social media and interacting with me, you should look for me on Instagram, Bluesky, Threads, and a little bit on TikTok. Or, you can always check out my Linktree for more info! To help you out, here are the links:

Eventually, I plan to completely do away with Twitter, but until my readers get used to following me in other places, I’ll keep it active. However, act quickly – I don’t plan to keep Twitter forever. My plan is to deactivate and delete my Twitter by the end of March 2025.

As many of you know by now, my next novel – TALK TO ME – a New Adult college-age romance, is coming next month! I’m so excited to share this book with you all! If you haven’t pre-ordered your copy yet, click any of the fun graphics below – and make sure to check out the blurb for more story information! As always, ebooks are available for pre-order and paperbacks will be available on release day or a few days before!

Talk to Me is a college-age New Adult Romance with tons of emo…jis.

When Josh’s friend points out the newest student at Midway University during a lecture, he doesn’t give much thought to it. However, he soon finds out that the student in question, Theo Hendrix, is a disgraced influencer from the LGBTQIA social media site Peepers. A rumored bad decision led Theo to being ostracized from his old life, forced him to leave his previous university, nearly ruined his career, and turned most of his followers on Peepers against him.

Now at a new university, Theo is trying to rebuild his brand, escape the rumors and speculation about his past, and move on with his life. Hopefully, graduating university in peace is also in the cards. However, Josh notices that this will be easier said than done for Theo. Other students at Midway University—including Josh’s best friend—aren’t necessarily happy to have Theo as part of the student body. Even though logic tells Josh to steer clear of Theo, his conscious won’t let him stand by while another student is railroaded.

A new friendship emerges and Josh hopes to help Theo rebuild his confidence and bravery so that he can be the person he used to be. Theo hopes that with Josh’s help he can also figure out his new brand and how to continue his social media influencer career. However, the internet is a nefarious place, and more than one online bully will do anything possible to cause problems for Josh and Theo.

Will their new friendship help Theo and Josh become the people they want to be, or will they find out that internet bullying—and the inaction of “good people”—will be what destroys them?

To keep everyone in the loop about the next book in the Head Rock Harbor Mystery seriesPRIDE AND PUNCTURE is still going to be released on February 7th, 2024! Since we’re still several months out, I won’t ramble on about it. However, to learn a bit more, click on the book cover below!

Lately, I’ve been listening to cozy mystery audiobooks – in particular, the Miss Fortune Mysteries, and not much else. So, I won’t bore you all with book recommendations in this newsletter. However, if you like cozy mysteries, and you haven’t checked it out yet, I highly recommend it. Click on the link above to redirected!

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription, you can read any of my books for no additional cost! All I ask is that you leave a review like you would with a book you purchased and read. Throw ya’ boy a bone!
