Welcome, everyone! I’m a day late on getting this edition out, so my apologies in advance! It’s the Chase Connor Books Halloween Spook-tacular Halloween edition!
Okay, not really. Halloween and autumn are my favorite time of the year, so, other than usual newsletter items, I’m including a few Halloween tidbits for your enjoyment. And, if you don’t enjoy it, no one forced you to come here and this shit is free, so complaints will fall on deaf ears. Smooches and still love you, though!

First things first – have you checked out my FREE short horror story, yet? DADDY is available here on Chase Connor Books for FREE! You can click here to be redirected, or click the cover image below!

How about some scary, thrilling, suspenseful, or mysterious movies for your Halloween viewing pleasure? Here are some classics (in my opinion), and some recent favorites I’ve watched – and where to watch them! (Where to watch is based on U.S. viewers – sorry, international movie lovers – I can’t be certain this information is the same for you.)

The Menu (2022) – This is a horror/comedy that I saw a week ago. The acting is wonderful, there is tons of suspense and mystery, dark/black comedy, and a lot of thrills and surprises. More than once, I turned to my husband and said, “I did NOT see that coming.” I don’t see nearly enough people talking about how entertaining this movie is – go see it today! It’s available on Amazon Prime Video and Hulu/Disney+!
The Strangers (2008) – I’m genuinely unsettled by this movie every single time I watch it. It’s difficult to scare or startle me, but for some reason, this one gets me. Probably because it’s a movie about real people doing really bad things to other real people. It feels as if it could actually happen. If you haven’t seen this classic yet, you can find it on Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and Max!

The Train to Busan (2016) – Is this best zombie movie to ever be made? It’s possible. Full of thrills, scares, chills, and some actually touching moments, there’s never a boring moment. It’s a nearly perfect movie! You can find it on Amazon Prime Video!
Barbarian (2022) – This is another recent watch – and another movie that’s unsettling because it feels like it could actually happen. If you want to be creeped out, unsettled, confused, and a little grossed out, this is the one for you! You can find it on Amazon Prime Video and Hulu/Disney+!

Event Horizon (1997) – This is probably the best sci-fi horror movie of all time – and don’t bother coming at me for that statement. This movie is simply too good, unsettling, creepy, gory, and exciting to dismiss. To this day, it unsettles me, and I’ve seen it at least a dozen times! You can find it on Amazon Prime Video and on Paramount+ w/ Showtime Add-On!

Have you been wondering about my upcoming releases I’ve been dropping little tidbits about? Well, just to give a brief update, I’ll be dropping more info about my New Adult college romance, TALK TO ME, very very soon. So keep your eyes peeled for that! You can check out the cover and a brief synopsis by clicking here or on the book cover below:
The third book in the Head Rock Harbor Mystery series – PRIDE AND PUNCTURE – is still set for an early 2025 release. You can also learn a little bit more about it by clicking here or on the cover below. Expect more about this by the end of the year, too!

If you have read all of my books, and you’re dying for some recommendations, how about some spooky and mysterious books by other authors? Here are some of my favorites for the Halloween season!

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription, you can read any of my books for no additional cost! All I ask is that you leave a review like you would with a book you purchased and read. Throw ya’ boy a bone!

For my last Halloween treat…how about actual treats?? Here are some of my favorite sweet things for Spooky Season and a link to buy them if you want to try them!

For me, tart, gummy peach rings might be the best candy to ever exist! I’m not kidding. If you love the taste of peach candy, I’ve never found a more intensely flavored peach gummy than these! Reese’s Mini-Pumpkins are simply a must at Halloween – it’s the treat you already love, but cuter and spookier! When you’re watching one (or all) of the spooky movies I recommended, I bet you’re chowing on a bowl of popcorn. Trust me and drizzle some hot honey on it. The brand I love best is above. And lastly, you can never go wrong with classic Rolos and Reese’s Pieces. They’re a Hallowee must!

That’s it for this edition of CCB News! “See” you again soon!
Tremendous Love & Thanks,
Chase
