CCB News Issue 1

As promised, I’m using the blog section of my website to keep you all current on all things Chase Connor Books. Let’s start this new website feature with some news about what’s in the CCB Brewing Pot™, what’s going on with what’s available, and some of my favorite recent reads!

First things first, things are going well in that little town on the Mississippi–Head Rock Harbor. Both HEAD FOR MURDER (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #1) and MURDER IN THE ROUGH (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #2) have received over 100 reviews on Amazon!

Both books in the series are selling well and the Kindle Unlimited pages read are crazy! Thank you to all of the readers who have made one of my favorite creations popular! Much more is to come for Jackson, Jeremy, Rattlesnatches, and the rest of the citizens of Head Rock Harbor. Obviously, that includes…murder. But more on that later! In the meantime, check out the Head Rock Harbor Wiki and read more about the next book in the series, PRIDE AND PUNCTURE (HEAD ROCK HARBOR MYSTERY #3)!

You might be asking yourself–but what are you working on now, Chase???–well, let’s get into that.

TALK TO ME – An LGBTQ+ New Adult Romance with a university backdrop is getting the final touches currently. A disgraced social media influencer switches colleges to escape his reputation, but the internet is everywhere. A story about how social media and internet social justice warriors can improve–and destroy–lives, friendship, romance, forgiveness, and new beginnings. Coming December 6th, 2024!

Obviously, I’m also working on putting the final touches on the third book in the Head Rock Harbor Mystery series (as mentioned above), so that it can meet it’s February 7th, 2025 release date. Additionally, I’m working on several other novels–many I’ve been talking about for years. In 2025, you’ll be hearing a lot more about all of those! In the meantime, do you know where all you can follow me online to keep up with the latest news (and other Chase Connor nonsense)?

Twitter – Mostly stuff about coffee, bread, stupid snippets from my silly life.
Bluesky – Twitter lite, honestly.
Instagram – Pictures of food, if I’m being honest. But I throw in some book stuff to prove I’m an author.
Threads – Mostly Twitter and Bluesky repeats, if I’m being honest.
Goodreads – See what I think about books as soon as I’m done reading them! I’ll also answer questions if you submit one. I mean, eventually.
CCB News Notification Sign-Up – Know exactly when I post a CCB News Blog Post by signing up here!
Linktree – If you’re ever unsure where to find anything of mine, this is the best place to start. You can find my socials, latest book release links, sign ups, etc.

Were you aware that every book in my catalog is now back on Kindle Unlimited? If I’ve written it, it’s a book that’s included with Kindle Unlimited. If you have a subscription, you can read any of my books for no additional cost! All I ask is that you leave a review like you would with a book you purchased and read. Throw ya’ boy a bone!

To close out this CCB News, how about some book recommendations? Here are three books I recently read and thoroughly enjoyed:

MURDER AT PIRATE’S COVE (SECRETS AND SCRABBLE BOOK 1) by Josh Lanyon is a delightful little treat–and a delightful start to a wonderful series. Lanyon released the 8th book in the series just this month, so if you’re looking for a cozy mystery series to sink your teeth into, this is a great choice!

Ellery Page is a failed actor, fresh out of a failed relationship, when his great-great-great-aunt leaves him a mansion and a bookshop on Buck Island, Rhode Island. As if dealing with a financially failing bookshop and a money-pit mansion isn’t enough, finding a dead body in his shop further complicates matters.

Next thing he knows, Ellery is racing to find the true killer before he finds himself behind bars. Along the way, maybe he’ll make a few quirky friends and a flirtation with the police chief might lead somewhere…

5-Stars for a great cozy mystery!

EVERYTHING SAD IS UNTRUE (A TRUE STORY) by Daniel Nayeri is, honestly, a book I don’t want to say too much about for fear of ruining it.

A refugee due to the unfortunate circumstances regarding attitudes in his home country about his mother’s chosen religion, Daniel must navigate his new home in America.

As wonderfully told as it is heartbreaking, hilarious, touching, and poignant, I adored this book. Daniel Nayeri is a storyteller like no other. I highly recommend the audiobook for this one (it’s read by the author himself)!

5-Stars – but that isn’t nearly enough!

CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD by Adam Cesare was absolutely and utterly ridiculous. I loved every minute of it!

In the town of Kettle Springs, the adults are tired of the teenagers’ antics. And things haven’t been the same since the antics of one particular boy led to the famed Baypen Corn Syrup Factory burning to the ground.

When Quinn and her doctor father move to town, she realizes something nefarious is afoot with the locals. Before she knows it, her and her new friends find themselves fighting to stay alive.

4-Stars for a fun, ridiculous ride!

That’s it for this edition of CCB News! Until next time!

Tremendous Love & Thanks,
Chase
